“TA Trial”
Total Arterial Trial
The TA-Trial (Total Arterial) is a Randomised Control Trial (RCT) in coronary artery bypass surgery. It will test the hypothesis that any use of saphenous vein graft (from the leg) has lower graft perfect patency in the early and later periods compared to arteries when used as bypass grafts following coronary artery bypass surgery. 1,000 patients will be recruited across all of the leading cardiac surgery centres in Australia, and patients will receive two coronary CT scans at 3 months and at 2 years postoperative.
